Mallorca " Es Reco News 2007

Hi there again folks, well its the end of 2007 and after a very hot and busy year winter in mallorca is closing in, the port is getting very quiet and all the bars and hotels are preparing to shut.
The stormy weather is welcomed by many of the locals as the island needs its water supplies replenishing, but it does make for a bleak place, the beaches are very empty apart from the stalwearts that walk or even swim in the sea, crazy people, but it keeps them healthy.
This time of year brings many walkers and dog walkers to the beach as the laws of no dogs on the beach law is relaxed, altho i did hear one mallorcian say that the signs only say no dogs and he would like to bring his goats onto the beach in the summer, since the laws appear to allow this, well that would be worth seeing amongst the sun worshippers.
This year at our beach bar we had our sunbeds back in use, they are the yellow ones if any of you come out to visit us, we asre closest to the beach area and away from the throng of beach fun types. They have proved to be very busy this year and obviously the people using them get to enjoy our wonderful company, food and drink.
This year we are open until december and reopen again at the end of february, we are one of the longest opening bars in the port, it may be a little chilly on the beach but the views will always be the most staggering to see throughout the day, even when its raining. You can always keep your hands warm on a mug of english tea, or coffee or even hot chocolate.

Hi there this is news from a beach bar in Port Soller, Mallorca. We are only one of two English bars in port soller, altho we are quite cosmopolitan with our mad waiter Pele, whom can speak several languages, Swedish French German Spanish and several others.
We pride ourselves on being the friendliest bar and can pass on much information for holiday makers. We can also get many things which are difficult to get such as prescriptions cars etc etc.

We have a great menu from snacks of tapas or Mexican burritos, a kids menu, we do a great traditional English brekky and we do fish, steaks and lots more, we cook with a spanglish style flavor and taste that you don't get in many of the restaurants.

As you can see we are right on the beach with great views of the sea and the famous Tramuntana mountains.

We also know many of the people whom can rent out accommodation and would be more than happy to put you in touch with them, saving you costs on travel agents.

So if Mallorca is a choice of holiday destination for you, then maybe we can help as Soller is probably one of the few traditional parts of Spain left. Hidden behind a tunnel thro the Tramuntana mountains or a fun trip over the top with many many hairpins, soller and port soller is a dream to visit.
